Hi again,
I just went to that site that you told me about but I think I forgot to mention that it is Windows XP not vista. I am not sure if that changes where you think I should go?
Thanks...

Re: Blue screen of deathSince it's been down for a number of months, I would recommend that you just reformat the hard drive and reinstall a fresh copy of Windows. It may not be that easy to trace the cause of the BSOD since the trail has already gone cold, so to speak.
The BSOD may very well be caused by a virus or corrupted system files...a reformat and reinstall should fix those issues without any problems. The usual way to reformat and reinstall Windows is to boot from the Windows installation disc or Dell Recovery disc that most likely came with your computer, and simply follow the instructions. If the PC doesn't boot from the optical drive, you may have to enter the BIOS (you have to press a key or combination of keys like DEL, F2, CTRL-ALT-ESC, etc. to enter BIOS) and set the first boot device to the optical drive. Hope this helps.
