History:
Nothing, really.
Laptop battery charger problems. I had to buy like 7 of them for it to finally work again. (happened about 6 months after I bought it)
And the laptop fell from my bed during the night, and a long black strip appeared at the right hand side of my screen. It would only go away if I hit it (I know... stupid. But cheap). That didn't work for too long. Eventually, the screen didn't work at all & a Dell Tech had to come and fix it. (Christmas 09)
And now this.
Current Problem:
I'm not going to lie.. I use my computer a lot.
I don't have much patience, so I usually just close my computer. There was never a problem with that. I don't have anything downloaded onto my computer that I don't trust. Itunes updates, Sims 3, etc. etc.
(Yes I know Sims takes up a lot of memory)
I do shut it down properly on occasion. Monday night was one of them. It needed a good rest. On Tuesday afternoon, I opened it up again. I turned it on. The beautiful sound of it turning on rang. But the screen was blank. (I don't know the difference between a blank or black screen. So, work with me.)
I can't tell if the screen is lighter than it was when it was turned off. So, I'm going to guess that it doesn't light up. I've Google'd, trying to diagnose my computer, and nadda. I even shined a lamp-light onto it (because some other guy said that once he did that, he could see everything) but nothing appeared. Not even a little bit. I have even taken out my battery on the bottom of the laptop multiple times.
The lights on the keyboard, the light coming from the CD drive, and the light that signals "power" come on. When plugged up, the battery button flashes for 4.5 seconds and then repeats. I really doubt it's the battery charger. I haven't had any trouble with that.
So, review:
Lights everywhere except the monitor appear. Sounds and lights say to me that it actually turns on. Screen is blank, black, whatever. Have had screen trouble in the past.
Do you know what's wrong?
Is my screen bulb out?
If you DO know what is wrong based on EVERYTHING that I've told you, nothing more, what can I do at home to fix it?
If you need more specifics, just ask.
Please help me fix my baby!
