CD-DVD drive prob

Heya everyone,

My CD-DVD drive isnt workin propperly, its running CDs/Burning CDs perfectly fine but when i put a FilmDVD/Game DvD in my PC cant read it as if it didnt have a DVD drive. I only found out this issue over a year after getting my pc because im mainly a online mmorpg player so discs arnt needed because i download the game.

Could this be fixed via downlaoding some software or will i need to buy a new drive??

Sounds like your drive is toast. Relativly cheap, though you might try a codec pack to see if maybe it's software related. Do a google search fo klite codec pack. I load this on every one of my custom builds and never have had a issue with software.

Windows 95 was probably the first Windows product that had a CD-ROM (Compact Disk Read Only Memory) drive. Consumers found it amazing to listen to music on their computers, play intensely graphical games or watch videos and upload download Megabytes of data on to one CD disk.
