please could someone answer this, a friend of mine has a built in rewriter dvd drive but when he puts in a blank cd or dvd it sends his monitor blue and he has to reboot. he went out and bought another external drive with usb connection but the exact same thing happens. he is running xp. If he puts a program disc or dvd film disc or music cd they all work fine on both drives, he has also bought different makes of blanks but the same thing happens on all of them. On seldem occasions he can get them to work with blank disks, But he has to reboot several times first. Thankyou to anyone who can solve this conundrum
