Monitor screen is black

I was changing the screen resolution on my computer. My screen then went black and it says SIGNAL OUT OF RANGE. I cant even see my cursor or desktop or anything, How do i change the screen resolution back. By the way i am on different computer to ask this. I cant use the other one.

Simply put, your chose a resolution/refresh rate beyond your monitor's capability to display. If you haven't fixed this yet, simply boot the computer into safe mode, and from there select a lower resolution/refresh rate.

Safe mode can be accessed by pressing F2 while Windows is booting up.

what if you have nothing on the screeen, total black, how do you even get to the point where you can set the resoultions back. I tried booting in safe mode and it still is black.
