mouse not working
my mouse does not work when connected to the pc via the green usb jack at the back of the computer i have bought a new green jack (ps2) but it is smaller then the original 1 that came with the computer at the moment the mouse is connected at the frount of the computer

That's a known problem with some computers. I had a similar problem with a Dell. Try to update the bios it might resolve your issue.
What is your computer specs?
