Re boot with new memory

Question about computer memory (RAM).

Re boot with new memory

Postby rhodacup on Sun Feb 07, 2010 4:25 pm

Hi
I have a Dell Volstro 200, Intell Pentium Dual Core CPU E2160
160GB ATA Hard Drive that I purchased 3/08

A month ago the power went out during a Micro Soft download
After the power came back on, I turned the computer back on and it would not boot up. It just beeped in 4 beep intervals. A friend with computer background checked out my computer and said one of the memory sticks was bad and needed to be replaced. So, I bought a new set of memory sticks.
My friend was not available to install and boot up the system.
My son who is computer savy installed the new memory sticks and said I could just turn the computer on.
Before I turn it on, is there any thing I should do before or after starting the computer?

Thank you for your help!
Tom

You should be all fine. The bios should take care of the rest.
