Registry Recovery

Postby xapi on Sat Dec 20, 2008 11:32 pm

Hi , i have a macbook but im using Parellels software for my windows XP Home Edition. My question is when i go to windows XP and log on, i get a registry recover pop up that says """" One of your files containing the system's registry data had to be recovered by use of a log or alternate copy. The recovery was successful. ""'" I have no idea what that means, and i doubt that it has anything to do with parallels. I have called microsoft and they went through it with me and had me create a new user account but it didnt help i still get the same pop up. Also this just started recenty like a month ago i never seen it before then. Any help would be apprecitaed.

You need to find what is causing the corruption of your registry. It might very well be the paralells virtual machine software. Maybe you have a saved image that had the registry error and you load it every time. Try to save an image with the registry error fixed and make sure you run the latest version of parallels. let us know what happens.

If it does not work, try to uninstall the last few programs you installed and see if the error goes away. I suspect it has something to do with parallels though.
