To be honest, I've also gone through the same experiences you're having, and the easiest solution, at least for me, was to turn off UAC. I'm not really sure if there is a solution for this problem, since this appears to be key (and highly criticized) feature of Windows Vista whenever certain tasks are performed (see the list here):

Basically anything that requires administrator privileges will trigger UAC, that just seems to be the way Vista is designed. Unfortunately, a lot of legacy applications (and even new ones) are written assuming they have administrator privileges. As you would imagine, these programs trigger UAC the most.
I never really cared for UAC myself, I find it intrusive and distracting. If you do turn it off, it's a good idea to have a good antivirus and antimalware program running, just in case.
