Uninstalling IE8

I have a 4 year old Dell Laptop that had IE6. I was sorta "forced" into upgrading to IE8. I want to go back to IE6 because a couple of programs I have won't work with IE8. When I go to Add/Remove programs the IE8 shows up but there is no option to REMOVE. I understand that my PC will go back to it's original IE6 settings.

IE 8 is tightly integrated with Windows, but there is a guide how to remove it. It is kind of tedious, but here goes
