Unwanted images sotred on computer

Postby mcm0180 on Sun May 24, 2009 4:35 pm

I need to know how to prevent every unwanted image that is seen on computer from being kept and stored on file, pictures, vdieo, music.
If I do a search for generic picture, video, music it will download under advance search thousands of images, that I may have looked at at some point and time. Example logos, etc. It takes a lot of work to select these items and send to recyle bin.

How do I set the computer to not capture and keep these unwanted images ?

Thanks

The images you describe are probably temporary internet files which are cached to your hard drive every time you browse the internet.

You can't really prevent them from being stored to your hard drive, since they are automatically downloaded when you browse a page on the internet. You could limit the size of the cache or turn it off altogether, but that may slow down browsing.

You really don't have to manually delete these files, if you're bothered by them, just clear your browser's cache, and they'll all be deleted.

If you're using Internet Explorer, click on Tools, then Internet Options, then under Browsing History click Delete.

If you're using Firefox, click on Tools, Options, then select Advanced, then click on the Network Tab, and under Offline Storage click Clear Now.
