windows error message: blue screen

i've been having on and off trouble (blue screen messages) on my computer running windows xp. now, i can't get my computer to start normally or even in safe mode. i get the following error message: STOP: 0x00000024 (0x00190203, 0x83F88128, 0xC0000102, 0x00000000). Any ideas on what I can do? This computer is pretty old (6 years at least)
