hi- hello,
my problem here is when i tried looking for my windows movie maker on my laptop and when i found out there wasn't any, i went to download one. i'm not sure if that was the smartest thing to do but i installed it and launched the file itself (moviemk.exe)
the window in general showed up but then another mini window popped up saying "The collections file is not valid or is corrupted. A new empty collections file has been created"
then another window shows up and says "Class not Registered", next"A new collections file cannot be created" and as followed, "Windows Movie Maker has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."--its the send error report /don't send and then it closes
somethings i should point out:
-i tried going to my programs and look into its folder and there was no uninstall file
-i went to control panel and opened up add/remove programs, i didn't find anything about windows movie maker or movie maker
-i tried looking at some solutions on google but most of which were unanswered and useless
-videos on my browesers, such as youtube, dont show up anymore and stay blank
